Climate Summary maps for the High Plains Region and the Conterminous U.S.
For most of the High Plains, Year 2013 so far has been slightly cooler than normal. Eastern Nebraska, including Omaha and Lincoln are, however, experiencing so far a slightly warmer than normal year.
For most of the High Plains, Yer 2013 so far has seen below normal precipitation. The exception to this is the swath int he very center of Nebraska that extend northward into the eastern Dakotas. The far southeastern area of the High Plains Region is also experiencing above normal precipitation so far this year.
The High Plains region can then be put into the context of the temperature and precipitation anomalies across the lower 48 states in the maps following the High Plains Region maps.
