January 2013 Climate Summary Maps

The following maps were generated here within the High Plains Regional Climate Center.
There are two sets of maps, the High Plains Region and the conterminous U.S. continental region.

Nebraska January 2013 summary:

Eastern Nebraska averaged slightly above normal temperatures , whereas western Nebraska was for the most part slightly cooler than normal.  Much of Nebraska experienced well below normal precipitation during January 2013 with some areas having less than 25% of normal precipitation. The only areas with above normal precipitation were in north central Nebraska along the South Dakota border and in southeast Nebraska (where a late January snowfall helped push the precipitation totals above normal).
