Top 10 Seasonal Snowfall Totals - High Plains Region

This winter has been cold and snowy which has caused many travel worries, school closings, and road closures. This leads many people to ask questions such as, just how snowy has it been and which locations may make the top 10 for seasonal snowfall?

The High Plains Regional Climate Center has compiled season-to-date snowfall totals to find out which locations have reached the top 10. Recent snowfall has pushed North Platte, NE up to the second snowiest season on record with 59.7 inches and Scottsbluff, NE up to the fifth snowiest season on record with 62.8 inches. Other locations in the top 10 include:

Grand Island, NE, ranked #10 with 44.3 inches

Lincoln, NE, ranked #8 with 40.8 inches

Norfolk, NE, ranked #6 with 54.7 inches

Topeka, KS, ranked #10 with 35.5 inches
